It’s not “I love you.”…
As I mentioned in my previous post, I felt irked after speaking with a co-worker one morning. As the day went on, I began to understand her perspective more, and later on, I even preferred her position to mine.
As I envisioned myself saying to my co-worker, “You were right,” I felt myself cringing. It is so darn hard to admit that a position I had previously maintained so strongly was perhaps wrong! But after stepping back and reassessing the situation with my calmer self, I realized the limitations in my previously firmly-held belief.
While it was difficult to admit defeat, a part of me was pleased with the personal growth that it afforded me.
