In a previous post I discussed the significance of staying off one’s smart phone when taking care of one’s child.
It’s hard to put down the phone instantly when your child suddenly needs you, it’s uncomfortable having to interrupt what you are doing. And in this digital and fast-paced age, we are always in the middle of something!
The good news is that children are masters of living in the moment. So when you put your phone down, follow their lead. Let all the noise in your head quietly dissipate, and fully engage with your child. They will gently lead you to joining them in the present moment.
