There was a silver lining to the whole hullabaloo with the talk that I mentioned in my previous two posts. While attempting to appease the children while attending the session, I gave them each a book. Later on, one of the books somehow ended up in our classroom (it had originated in the multipurpose room).
One of my co-teachers was reading this book to the babies, who were joyfully listening and watching. It was a colorful book, rainbow-themed, and they were really paying attention as the teacher playfully read it to them.
This was a happy lesson, as well as a daunting one:
Our actions, EVEN our inadvertent ones, have ripple effects.
Thankfully in this case the effect was a very positive one: I had accidentally provided our classroom with a fun, engaging new book.
