creativity brings me glee
but editing is drudgery
and marketing kicks up more shit
I wonder "what was the point of it?"
Feeling inspired
Then feeling tired
Sharing one's revelation
Then wishing to regain the jubilation
that once was
The moment I first discovered
That jewel of truth
That crystal of wisdom
Sparkling like the beauty of youth
A connection spiritual, creating an uplift
A moment that was nothing less than a gift
I wish I could go back to that initial insight
When the world around me felt more than alright
Now I'm covered in papers, mired in thoughts
Wishing I could regain that moment that sadly I've lost
