Lessons From A Not-So-Average Hike

Went for a hike last week. It was great. Except that my car had a sudden issue that I had to solve.

I went in for some calm in nature, and arrived to a situation in which my car needed to be serviced. I didn’t get the relaxation I intended, but I got much more:

Staff members at the park who helped me diagnose and handle the problem. Just helpful people, good Samaritans. Their support was much appreciated.

And, anyway, isn’t spending time in nature about connecting with the elements? Stripping ourselves of our defenses?
