I know my life experiences inform my writing. The sudden passing of my father in 2006, my cousin's tragic death 6 years prior. But I think there is something else to it as well. My whole life I have been authentic. I never succumbed to peer pressure in high school. For most of college, I … Continue reading Happy 36th to Me—Authenticity Breeds Felicity

My Obese Aura
I’ve always appreciated physical space. I grew up in a lovely two-story house. Perhaps that’s why? But I think it’s more than that. As a yoga instructor and wellness coach, I appreciate a space as an opportunity to set the mood. To set a tone. To invite reflection, and inner peace. My favorite place to … Continue reading My Obese Aura
Morning Musing on Mamas and Papas
My parents gave me the ingredients. But I choose at what temp and for how long it cooks.
Libra’s Scales
I love using my Libra-inspired love of symmetry to edit the photos and videos that I make. My whole life, I’ve used this skill AGAINST myself. Perfectionism. Orthorexia. Fear of not fitting in. When we get the right perspective on life, we CAN be truly happy Maybe now we’re just not seeing LIFE as it supposed to be seen But … Continue reading Spiritual Glasses

Social Media is NOT like Junk Food
Yes, as per previous post, a lot of aspects of social media are like junk food. Superficial feel-goods, without much deep nourishment to the soul. But is that always the case? Is that the only side of the coin? No. I feel connected to people with similar interests and passions to mine who I've found … Continue reading Social Media is NOT like Junk Food
Social Media is like Junk Food
Social media is like junk food. The likes, loves, and haha emojis I get feel like they are feeding my sense of self. But they are only doing so on a very superficial level. They are not giving me actual care and nourishment. Much like empty-calorie, low nutrient-density food.
