Finding Work-Life Balance as a Mom

When I was home all day with my daughter when she was a baby, I would at times feel burnt out. Now, when I spend time with her intermittently throughout the day— early morning, lunch break, and in the later afternoon and evening—I feel more energized when I am with her. We spend cherished time together and it is delightful. Until she starts to kvetch, that gets tough.

Most people don’t have a choice: some stay at home out of necessity, many others work out of necessity,

I like the balance that I have struck: working in a preschool where I can see my daughter at periods throughout the day.
