Word Press On: Keep Moving Forward

This past week, I’ve thought about my father’s passing. Later another related thought came to mind. When I was in high school, a boy two grades below me died in a tragic accident on vacation. I remember seeing a Rom Com in the theaters that week and noticing how I didn’t enjoy it as much I had in the past. The stark sadness and shock of the loss was heavy on my mind and heart.

I am not saying that watching shows for entertainment is bad—it is great to sit back, relax, and enjoy a show (or more than one!). But we are looking for more than that. Each of us is experiencing a shared reality right now and we are all searching for answers. Something deep inside of each of us has been triggered—our awareness of our vulnerability, our humanness. We have all on some level been jolted and we are all seeking meaning as well as reassurance.
