”It’s been a minute, tell me how you’re healin’
…Oh, I’m not the girl I was or used to be…I might be better.”
Lizzo – About Damn Time
Well, Covid-19, hasn’t gone anywhere. What does the the 19 stand for again?
Right, that year that is started. Was that only 3 years ago? Feels more like 10!
It’s amazing what stress (from a pandemic or otherwise) can do to one’s perception of the passage of time.
If you asked anyone two years ago, we would have thought this would be way gone by now. And between the loss of loved ones and those suffering from longer-lasting post-Covid symptoms, not to mention the impact on the economy and other societal factors—the impact of Covid is quite far-reaching, perhaps indelible.
On a day-to-day level, we are still living with Covid surges now and again.
Surely we have not found complete respite from all this.
In some ways, things haven’t changed—still living in a pandemic.
In other ways, perhaps they have.
How you healin’?
