Friendly Reminders for When Your Day Gets off to a Rough Start

If your day gets off to a rough start, remember:

1) We are all under construction—and if you’re like that building across from my daughter’s school, it can take a while. We are all just works in progress, growing brick by brick.

2) A bad morning can fuel a lovely afternoon jog or inspire a much-needed walk in the park.

3) It’s not all bad or all good; the emotions may be strong, but in time, with a little bit of space from the triggering event, things can get better.

4) Having someone in your life who empathizes with you and validates your feelings is a jewel.
