When communication comes down to texting without context
When you’re surrounded by hundreds of people and yet no one is really there for you
When you relate through a persona and not your actual authentic self
It’s no wonder
The world moves so fast
How can we be authentic to others when we don’t even truly know ourselves
When we try so hard to keep up with school, jobs, bills, etc
When all that’s left is a shell of ourselves
And it’s who we think we are
