Homeward Bound

I recently visited my hometown. Spent some lovely quality with loved ones.

I’m lucky to have grown up in one place. A place that holds all the memories of my upbringing.

It was my first time back in a while. So much has happened since my last visit.

I noticed how I felt differently than I used to in scenarios that were quite the same.

Growing up entails a shift in perspective. Experiencing intense events does so even more.

And so, as odd as it is to visit the same place yet feel different things, I’m also grateful that this place is there. It shows me where I’ve been, helps me ponder where I am and where I’m going.

It conjures up a lot of feelings, and not all easy ones.

But it’s a blessing nonetheless.
