This morning, my plastic fork broke while I was cutting my avocado toast. The forks at work are pretty hardy plastic and this is the first time this has happened.
It was a reminder that when giving is from a place of overextension, we are bound to crack. Whilst giving from our core—from our hearts, while feeling grounded and centered in ourselves, is much more sustainable.
After all, my fork, while less than half its original size, proceeded to work quite effectively for the rest of breakfast.
